AirSpeed� ABS AS1050A review (has turbo brush instead of PET power paw.), December 24, 2011 This review is from: Eureka AirSpeed Bagged Upright Vacuum, AS1051A (Kitchen) This is an initial review of the AirSpeed ABS AS1050A model. This vacuum features ARM & HAMMER� vacuum bags and is sold exclusively at Walmart. Hence the different model number. The only difference between the models is the AS1051A has the PET power paw attachment. Mine has a turbo brush. The only other difference is my vacuum has a 27' power cord compared to a 30'. Other then that the vacuums are the same per the Eureka website comparing all 3 models listed for the AirSpeed ABS 1050A, 1051A, 1052A series. [...]
As to assembly the vacuum it only took me about 15 minutes. I found the instructions adequate for getting the job done. I really appreciated the no-tools and clear instruction labels on the back of the vacuum canister. Everything snapped solidly together and fit tight. I turned it on and tested it out sucking up some pine needles and took it for spin around the living room. It picked up everything that was in it's path. A Comparison to the 4870UZ (Bagged) model, February 26, 2012 By This review is from: Eureka AirSpeed Bagged Upright Vacuum, AS1051A (Kitchen) I accidently purchased the AS1050A as a second vacuum instead of the Eureka 4870UZ, which I had also recently purchased, to be used in our basement, where our cat and I office together. So, I thought I would provide a bit of a review/comparison of the two machines.
I will start by saying that I have finally donated the last of the three Eureka bagless vacuums that I have been using over the course of the last several years. This is not to say that the bagless machines didn't work, however, the cleaning of those types of machines was getting on my nerves. Moving on... and again, the basis of this review is more of a comparison to the 4870UZ (Air Extreme), which is a great vacuum.
Assembly of the AS1050A was reasonably simple, and no tools were required. After assembly, I fired up the machine and immediately noticed that weight and handling of the AS1050A was both lighter and easier to handle than the 4870UZ. This could be a result of the fact that the AS1050A... Read more

Great Vacuum for Great Price, November 28, 2011 This review is from: Eureka AirSpeed Bagged Upright Vacuum, AS1051A (Kitchen) After our bagless Dirt Devil Upright's brush roll gave out, we decided it was time for a new vacuum. I never really liked the Dirt Devil anyway, but moving on...this Eureka is a fantastic vacuum. It's attachments are very nice and it converts to various types of flooring quite well, picking up dirt and hair on both hard surfaces and carpet. A great benefit to it is the ability to change the suction to just tools or just floors. The crevice tool on this vacuum is thinner than on our previous vacuums and wet/dry vacs, so we were able to vacuum up dirt and lint from underneath our washer and dryer. The bag system is easy to use and change and it takes longer to fill the bag than it does to fill up a bagless vacuum's dirt cup. We were able to vacuum our whole house with just 1 bag being used and the bag still doesn't need to be changed. The only downside was that the brush roll attachment or "pet paw", doesn't work as good as one would hope, but that's true with all vacuums that... Read more
